Stripe's technology matches your photo to your ID and verifies the document's authenticity. We never see or store your actual ID—Stripe handles everything securely and only shares verification status with us.

Is verification required?

Yes, verification is required to access TeaOnMyBoo. This ensures that every member is a real person with a verified identity, creating a serious, authentic community.

How long does verification take?

Most verifications are completed within minutes. In some cases, it may take up to 24 hours. You'll receive real-time status updates throughout the process.

What happens if verification fails?

If verification fails, you'll receive detailed feedback about why. Common reasons include poor photo quality, mismatched information, or unreadable documents. You can try again with better photos or contact support for assistance.

Is my ID data safe?

Yes. Stripe Identity handles all ID verification, and we never see or store your government ID. Stripe uses the same security standards as banks and only shares verification status with us. Your ID data is never stored on our servers.

Names are automatically protected (First L. from City, State format), your data is encrypted, and we never share your personal information. You control what you share and can delete your account anytime.

Do you share my data with third parties?

Can I delete my account and data?

We use Azure AI Content Safety to analyze every post, comment, and image in real-time. Content is checked for hate speech, violence, sexual content, self-harm, and other violations. Content that violates our guidelines is automatically blocked before publication.

What happens if my post is rejected?

If your post is rejected, you'll receive a notification explaining why. Common reasons include inappropriate language, harmful content, or guideline violations. You can revise and resubmit your post.

Can I appeal a moderation decision?

Yes. If you believe your content was incorrectly moderated, you can contact support to appeal the decision. Our team reviews all appeals manually.

How is moderation different from other platforms?

We moderate content before it's published, preventing harmful content from reaching the community. We use advanced moderation technology to keep the community safe and respectful.

What is name sanitization?

To protect your privacy, names are automatically formatted to "First L. from City, State" (e.g., "John S. from New York, NY"). This prevents full names from being displayed while still allowing meaningful connections.

How do red and green flags work?

Community members can vote on posts as red flags (concerning) or green flags (positive). This helps others make informed decisions. Each user can only vote once per post, and votes are tracked to prevent abuse.

Can I comment on posts?

Yes, verified members can comment on posts. All comments are moderated through the same system as posts to ensure a respectful community.

Can I block users?

Yes. You can block any user through their profile or from their posts. Blocked users cannot see your content or interact with you.

How do I report inappropriate content?

You can report posts, comments, or users through the app. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team, and we take appropriate action including warnings, suspensions, or permanent bans.

Identity verification through Stripe Identity costs us money for each verification. The subscription fee helps cover these costs along with the infrastructure for security, moderation, and privacy features.

Can I cancel my subscription?

Yes. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings or through Apple's subscription management. Your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer refunds?

Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact support with your request. Subscription cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
